Best of Show - Suspendi rimor by donna davis

'Suspendi rimor', 2010, donna davis, digital pigment print. Photo courtesy of the artist.
At the annual Ipswich Art Awards held last month I won "best of show" for the work above, Suspendi rimor.
The judge Dr Chris Bennie, Artist and Lecturer Digital Art and New Media Fine Art Department, Griffith University of Queensland College of Art commented as follows:

"The work displays a delightful marriage of elegance, design and formality with a playful selection of subject matter, colour, shape and texture. The resulting artwork is a sophisticated blend of mundanity, simplicity, organisation, pattern and logic that overall lends it a profound quality."
